Leading hedge fund advisory company selects DRU heating system

Albourne Partners is one of the world’s leading hedge fund advisory firms with offices in London, San Francisco, Toronto, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. Founded in 1994, it has an impeccable reputation and a global reach.

The London office occupies a former Catholic Girls School in the affluent Battersea area, within a stone’s throw of Battersea power station and dog’s home. The building has been substantially refurbished and includes a well appointed boardroom and several tastefully decorated offices.

Because of the nature of Albourne’s business, the building is often in use late into the night to handle 24 hour trading in international markets. So the company required a flexible heating system that could be activated quickly at all hours of the day. It also needed to be comfortable, economical and blend in with the unique characteristics of the building.

Following a lengthy consultation, Albourne Partners chose a balanced flue heating system from gas heating specialists DRU. DRU Art series gas wall heaters can be run independently or as part of a centrally controlled system. Using natural convection, they draw air through a flue in the outside wall for combustion, expelling waste gases through a separate compartment of the same flue.

The result is a powerful and efficient heating system suitable for large, period style buildings such as schools and churches. The heaters can be run on both natural gas and LPG and require no electrical supply. They are also robust and require very little maintenance.

The installation in the Albourne HQ has recently been updated to include brand new Art series models in several of the offices to deal with the company’s recent expansion.
